The POP! Vision is all about creating a futuristic yet timeless light up shoe that can evolve with you from day to night. launching at the ideal time of fashion revolution, POP!  is not only a light-up shoe, but a tech shoe. Technology has become the future for fashion; where apparel, accessories, and more can all be transformed with the touch of the button.

This year’s Met Gala, the fundraising event that benefits the Metropolitan Musuem of Art’s Costume Institute was themed as the “Manus X Machine: Fashion in an Age of Technology.” Celebrities were dressed in space and robot-esque style dresses, and the theme of the gala was definitely conveyed on all attendees throughout the night.

If there were two people who glowed at the Met Gala this year, then look no further than Claire Danes’s Glow-in-the- Dark gown, and Karolina Kurkova’s dress which included over 150 LED lights. Lighting up the red carpet, it was safe to say that all eyes were on them.  Danes beautiful organza and fiber optics sky- blue dress designed by Zach Posen, allowing the piece to light-up in the dark, made it the perfect combination of fashion and tech.  Kurkova’s dress, a collaboration between technology company, IMB and Marchesa, had ivory flowers that would light up in different colors all thanks to different technical elements that were hand-sewn into the flowers.

Now, I know we previously mentioned there were two people who stole the show, but we lied. There were actually three people who stole the show. Can you guess the third person? It’s us! POP! made their debut at the Met Gala. Pretty crazy, right?! Anyone could agree that light-up sneakers are the perfect fit for a technology inspired gala, and Bardia Zeinali could agree with us! With the tough choice to either wear Gucci tuxedo shoes or POP!, Zeinali decided to light-up the night in Low Black Licorice Leather POP!. POP! were spotted next to Beyoncé and Adriana Lima to name a (big) few, and featured in pictures together too! Pretty crazy to think that POP! got to light up the grounds of one of the biggest night’s in fashion, and we can’t thank Bardia enough for taking us on!
